ALL Sydney trains CANCELLED today

Ben Fordham

Sydney trains will not be running today after a breakdown in negotiations with the Rail, Tram and Bus Union.

The RBTU withdrew from negotiations on Sunday afternoon, with the suspension announced in the early hours of Monday morning.

The Union says the decision to shut down the network was made by the government.

The Sydney Light Rail is operating as normal.

Sydney Trains CEO Matt Longland told Ben Fordham people are being encouraged to avoid travel.

“We will continue to do everything we can to find a solution as quickly as possible.”
