The New South Wales government are being slammed for forcing exhausted ambulance and paramedic staff to continue working.

Due to the health staff shortage, those deemed close contacts are having to support the workforce.

HSU NSW Secretary Gerard Hayes told Ray Hadley, “This is due to absolute, in my view… desperation”.

“Health workers are chronically fatigued.

“I don’t think the average person can understand the level of stress they’re currently under.”
