Police have released footage of a public shooting outside a Prospect childcare centre.

A number of shots were allegedly fired from a Mazda wagon at a group of four men who were approaching the front entrance of the complex in November.

One of the men, aged 33, sustained a gunshot wound to his lower right leg.

Young children can be seen hiding as the shots rang out in front of their centre, leaving bullet holes in the play area.
