Michael Shoebridge, director of the defence, strategy and national security program at ASPI – Australian Strategic Policy Institute, joins Michael to discuss news that the U.S. has planned a diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics.

The White House says the move would be driven by concerns about China’s human rights practices though it’s been reported that America’s diplomatic boycott would see athletes attend the Games but not officials.
