Ray Hadley has slammed NRL player Brandon Smith’s conduct on a podcast.

The Storm hooker revealed on a podcast that he will be signing with the Roosters in 2023, while criticising his current club.

His appearance has left Melbourne powerbrokers incensed.

He could reportedly be fined between $5000 and $10,000 for bringing the game into disrepute.

“Are you kidding?” Ray said, “Make it a couple hundred thousand!”

Ray Hadley has argued no other employer would tolerate their employee announcing they would leave their role in 12 months to work for their competitor.

“Somehow, in the world of rugby league, that’s acceptable behaviour!”
