Voluntary Assisted Dying

NSW is currently the only state in Australia that doesn’t allow terminally ill people to end their lives.

Mr Perrottet opposes the legislation that was introduced to parliament by Independent MP Alex Greenwich in October to allow terminally ill people to end their own lives promising to boost funding to palliative care instead.

The Doctors Reform Society NSW this week supported the legalization of Voluntary Assisted Dying in NSW because palliative care cannot relieve all the suffering of terminally ill people.

Luke Grant chats to Doctor Robert Marr, Vice president of Doctors Reform Society NSW to find out more.
