Ben Fordham has slammed Labor’s claims a plan for voters to show proof of identity is racist.

The government wants Australians to show their ID at the next federal election to prevent voter fraud.

Voters could also vouch for another person without ID and those unable to prove their identity could cast declaration votes, which would be verified after polls close.

Labor MP Warren Snowdon said it’s “racist and discriminatory… all about suppression”.

“How is it racist?” Ben said
