NSW Environment Minister Matt Kean says Return and Earn will return after being shut due to the lockdown.

All 360 Return and Earn vending machines, depots and over-the-counter sites have been closed since July 20, leaving millions of cans and bottles piling up in people’s garages.

Minister Kean told Ben Fordham the scheme will return around NSW and Greater Sydney on September 15.

“They’ll be also open for extra hours.

“Those in the 12 LGAs of concern, they’ll be reopened on September 29.”
