NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro says he wouldn’t object to mandatory vaccinations for politicians.

The state government has mandated vaccinations for health workers, teachers and those going to work from hotspot areas.

However, the COVID-19 vaccination is not mandatory for politicians.

Mr Barilaro told Ben Fordham he’d have “no problem” introducing a mandate for parliament.

“If you can’t be vaccinated maybe there’s an opportunity for virtual or you don’t attend, it’s that simple.”
