Police have released CCTV images of a man accused of groping a young boy in Sydney’s CBD on the weekend.

The 12-year-old was walking with his family along George Street, near the entrance to Town Hall Station, at about 9.30pm on Saturday.

A man allegedly grabbed his inner thigh before leaving the scene.

The boy told his mother and the family returned home before reporting the incident to police.

Police have now released CCTV images of a man who they believe is responsible.

He’s described as Caucasian, aged in his 60s to 70s, with a fair complexion and grey hair.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
