Nova host Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald has phoned Ben Fordham with an offer he could refuse… and did.

Ben was chatting about the Oscar-nominated romance film A Star Is Born when Fitzy called the openline.

Fitzy: “Fordo, when’s the last time you had a good cry?”

Ben: “You don’t want to know… it was Monday.”

Fitzy: “I’ve seen the movie three times. If it doesn’t win an Oscar there will be trouble. It is amazing!”

Ben promised he’d try to go and see it with Fitzy offering to help make it happen.

“You and the missus should go, romantic night out.

“How would you feel if I babysit the kids?” asks Fitzy.

Ben wasn’t so sure.

“I’d probably pass on that aspect but I’ll definitely go out to the movies,” joked Ben.
