The catastrophic mass fish deaths in the Darling River has captured the attention of politicians, with Federal and New South Wales state elections coming in the next six months.
New South Wales Labor Leader Michael Daley visited Menindee on Friday, releasing a 6-point plan for the Lakes.
The state’s Regional Water Minister is challenging the Labor Leader, and its shadow water minister Chris Minns to a debate on Water Policy.
Niall Blair argues the plan will reduce the amount of water available for producers across the Basin, and also lead to an increase in grocery prices.
