Drought hits farm incomes

Rural News

Drought conditions across South East Australia has seen the average farm cash income for broad acre farms drop by about $70,000 year-on-year.

Annual reporting from ABARES found while incomes are significantly down across most sectors, they’re not to the levels of the millennium drought.

Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield caught up with ABARES Assistant Secretary of Farm and Forestry David Galeano.
