The federal government has announced an extra $500 million will be invested in aged care services.

Most of the money spent on providing in-home care packages for chronically ill patients.

Michael McLaren speaks with Aged & Community Services Australia CEO Patricia Sparrow, who says the packages will be available within weeks, and worth up to $50,000 per person.
