A woman is fighting for life after being hit by a car in Sydney’s Inner West last night.

Just before 9.30pm, emergency services were called to Homebush Road at Strathfield following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a four-wheel-drive.

The 70-year-old woman was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to RPA Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the Toyota Kluger, a 43-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Police established a crime scene, with forensic specialists from the Crash Investigation Unit investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
