The Institute of Public Affairs interviewed more than 1,000 people and found 70% want to keep Australia Day on January 26.

Only 11% said it should be moved to another day.

Ben Fordham speaks with Bella D’Abrera who conducted the research.

“87% of Australians are proud to be Australian. 76% of Australians are proud of their history.

“This is all very much confirming what most of us know, that there is a left-leaning minority that is obsessed with identity politics and is completely and utterly out of step with the majority of what Australians want.”
