Financial help is being offered to festival organisers who have been forced to cancel events due to the high COVID cases.

The $43 million fund is designed to help those involved in already-cancelled performances or those who may be affected in the near future.

Business NSW Chief Executive Daniel Hunter told Deborah Knight “it’s a good start”.

“It provides some sort of insurance to the events industry.”
