3D pedestrian crossings will be trialled on the northern beaches this summer.

Three new pedestrian crossings will be installed in high-traffic areas of Manly.

The optical illusion is designed to slow down motorists and cater for the elderly or people with disability given their flat design.

Driver, pedestrian and community behaviour will be assessed during the first six months of the trial.
