Prospective police recruits will soon receive a $3000 payment.

The money will be available from next year, and is designed to incentivise people and break down financial barriers while they are training at the police academy in Goulburn.

NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Police Paul Toole told Mark Levy it’s about making it easier and more attractive for people to enter the industry.

“This is about getting more police officers into the NSW Police force.

“We are also allowing more flexibility, allowing people to work full time or part time while studying.”
