Thousands of Australians will take part in the 2021 Premmie Marathon Challenge to raise money for lifesaving neonatal equipment, including 2GB boss Tom Malone.

Running for Premature Babies was set up by Sophie Smith after she and her late husband Ash lost their triplets Henry, Jasper and Evan, who were born at just 24 weeks.

Nine Radio Managing Director Tom Malone’s own son John was born six weeks early, and after his scary experience Tom has run 101 kilometres to help other families access lifesaving treatment.
