200 Women warned after Hepatitis B exposure at Nepean Hospital birth unit

A health warning has been issued for more than 200 women who gave birth at Nepean Hospital’s Birth Unit between 2013 and 2024.
A healthcare worker in the unit has been found to be infectious with Hepatitis B.
The exposure is described as “low risk” but as a precaution Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District is offering a free assessment.
