$150,000 survey: Chris Minns calls out ‘crazy’ waste of taxpayers’ money
NSW Labor leader Chris Minns has called out the government’s decision to spend thousands in taxpayers’ money on a speed camera survey.
A marketing research company will undertake six surveys over three years at a cost of $150,000 to find out what the public thinks of red light cameras, average speed cameras, and mobile phone detection cameras.
Mr Minns told Ben Fordham it will just “tell the NSW government what everybody already knows”.
“This sort of money should be put into black spot funding on our road network, not into focus groups.”
