Motor Neurone Disease sufferers Ian Davis and Scott Sullivan are cycling from Brisbane to Manly to help raise awareness and funds for MND research.

Their trip will take 16 days and cover more than 1,000km.

Today Ian and Scott are cycling nearly 100km from Bulahdelah to Newcastle. They’re hoping to raise $100 for every kilometre they cycle.

On Tuesday the 7th May 2013 Leading Senior Constable Chris Plummer, from Bankstown Local Area Command, lost his battle with an extremely aggressive form of cancer.

He was diagnosed only seven weeks before his death.

Chris was married to Juliet and they have four daughters, all under the age of 12.

The NSW Police Force is asking for the public to donate money to help support Chris' wife and their children.

Pat Brown suffered a severe electric shock while working at Governor Phillip Tower in October last year. He passed away on the 6th January 2013, aged 26.

Pat leaves behind his wife Nicole and their baby Ruby.

70 of his friends are raising money to help the family out by taking part in the Tough Mudder competition at Mulgoa. The event is a 20km obstacle course designed by the British Special Forces.
