Australia has voted ‘Yes’ in the Australian Marriage Law postal survey.

79.5% of eligible Australians voted on the matter, a total of 12,727,920.

‘Yes’ – 7,817,247 or 61.6% of clear responses.

‘No’ – 4,873,987 or 38.4% of clear responses.

‘Unclear’ – 36,686 or 0.2%.

Every state and territory recorded a majority ‘Yes’ result.

ACT had the highest ‘Yes’ result at 74%.

NSW had the lowest ‘Yes’ result at 57.8%.

133 of the 150 Commonwealth electorates recorded a majority ‘Yes’ result.
