Parramatta’s court precinct has been blocked off due to reports of a suspicious item found in the area.

The busy intersection at George and Marsden Streets has been closed with multiple emergency crews are on the scene, including the riot squad and dog squad.

Chris works in the area and says it’s extremely worrying.

“The whole street’s blocked off… we don’t expect this ever to happen in Parramatta or in Sydney full stop… everyone’s concerned at this point in time.”
