New fathers need help too

Postnatal depression is just as relevant for dads as it is for new mums.

However, men find it much harder to seek support for emotional problems and 43% of first-time dads believe postnatal depression and anxiety is a sign of weakness.

While 1 in 10 expecting or new dads experience perinatal anxiety or depression in Australia, over half do not seek support and Clinical Psychologist Andrew Mackie spoke with Warren Moore about how fathers can seek support.
