Nationally renowned parenting author and educator, Maggie Dent, has explored the intricacies of raising little girls.

The book, Girlhood, focuses on the development period of girls from birth to age eight, using 5000 survey results and her own experiences as an educator, counsellor, mother and grandmother to create her new masterpiece.

Ms Dent told Ben Fordham sensitivity in girls was one thing she discovered while writing the book.

“There are some really confusing aspects of raising little girls.

“The intensity of emotion in girls is much higher … and they don’t forget anything!”
