Aussie boxer Jeff Horn has defeated Englishman Gary Corcoran by 11th round TKO to retain his WBO welterweight world title.
The bout in Brisbane was Horn’s first since defeating boxing great Manny Pacquiao at Suncorp Stadium in July.
This time around, 7,000 fans packed into the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre for the highly anticipated fight.
Horn was the firm favourite against the number 10 ranked challenger and was well ahead on the judges scorecards when the fight was stopped.
The win earns Horn a big money fight with unbeaten American Terence Crawford, one of the world’s best fighters, expected to be in Las Vegas next year.
