With Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull’s 28th consecutive Newspoll loss, Graham Richardson tells Ben Fordham “it’s only a matter of when, not if” he will be replaced.

“It’s only four or five weeks off until Malcolm hits the 30 poll,” he says.

He tells Ben the Liberals have long held onto Prime Minister Turnbull being favoured over Opposition Leader Bill Shorten.

“None of them can say that anymore, and that is a great weakness for Malcolm.”

As for who is poised to take over, Graham says Foreign Minister Julie Bishop is a likely candidate.

“I think Julie Bishop will be a near certainty at the moment.

“I think she’s earnt it.”
