‘An absolute disgrace’: Ray Hadley responds to inquiry slamming his Blue Mountains Council reports
Ray Hadley has slammed claims he got his facts wrong in reporting on the Blue Mountains City Council’s asbestos mismanagement.
Earlier this week, the inquiry, which came about following extensive reporting from Ray, published its first findings on the scandal.
Commissioner Richard Beasley SC repeatedly attacked Ray throughout the report.
“Of the significant allegations made by Mr Hadley from February 13-15, 2018, none were factually accurate.”
Now Ray has responded, saying the Commissioner has been misled by the council and insisting he can prove it.
“It’s an absolute disgrace the General Manager of Council and Megan Te Bay have misled the Commissioner… because his findings heavily rely on the fact Mulligan had nothing to do with asbestos.
“I completely reject any assertion that all of my statements were factually inaccurate and, if anyone wants proof, I’m more than happy to give it to them.”
