Minor promotions on Radio 2GB:

1. Alan Jones Music Segment:

Everyday during the breakfast program Alan Jones asks listeners a question relating to the CD of the week. The nominated caller/s through with the right answer will win one copy of the CD of the week.

2. Chris Smith Quiz Segment:

Everyday during the afternoon program Chris Smith will ask five general quiz questions in a “last man standing”  format. The caller who gets the last question correct wins the daily prize (s).  

3. Ben Fordham Happy Hour:

Every Friday during the drive program Ben Fordham will cue 'Happy Hour'. The nominated caller/s through will win the daily prize/s.

4. General Prize Sheet:

Various prizes are given away as gifts to listeners during the week. These are at the announcer's discretion.

Prizes:

General prizes include CD's, DVD's, flowers/fruit, books, games, toys, movie passes, theatre tickets, restaurant vouchers, accommodation vouchers etc.

2GB Listener Survey

Listener survey opens Friday 22nd of August 2014, 10am until Wednesday 27th of Aug 2014 11:59pm. One winner will be randomly selected to win an Apple iPad valued at $598.00 on Thursday the 28th of August 2014, 12pm. 

Terms & Conditions :

These terms and conditions will be available to view at 2gb.com during the time of its validity.

All winners are automatically entered on the 2GB Promotions Database.

Only one minor prize can be won by any one listener OR a member of the same family within a THREE week period.

Only one minor prize can be won per household within a THREE week period.

Only one minor prize can be won by a member of an immediate family within a THREE week period.

Only one major prize can be won in a competition conducted by either 2GB or 2CH by any one listener within a twelve month period.

For any end of week draw, only one entry per person will be accepted.

A major prize is that worth over $2,000 unless otherwise specified in an additional permit.

Where specified, prizes may need to be collected from the studios/office of Radio 2GB.

All winners contact details are retained for administrative purposes only.

No information will be disclosed to anyone outside 2GB.

Every effort is made by 2GB to send all prizes out by mail and should be received within three weeks of the entrant winning.

Once the prize has left the offices of Radio 2GB we hold no responsibility regarding breakages or loss of parcel. In case of lost mail the winner will need to liaise directly with their local post office.

If the prize is not available due to unforseen circumstances Radio 2GB reserves the right to exchange the prize for something of equal value.

Judges decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

Winners can not exchange prizes for cash or for any other prize.

Current Employees of the Macquarie Radio Network and their immediate families and group companies and any other company associated to the specific competition are not eligible to enter the competitions.

Unless otherwise advised, only residents of the 2GB listening area in New South Wales are eligible to enter competitions and win prizes.

Radio 2GB reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the promoter.

All contestants release from, and indemnify 2GB and the Macquarie Radio Network against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of accepting the prize or participation in the competition including but not limited to loss of income and personal injury.

If the winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize may be awarded to the winner's parent or guardian.

Radio 2GB has the right to bar competition winners who they deem have broken the rules of the general prize giveaway's for a period of up to three months. The winner will be advised of this in writing after the entrant has been disqualified.

In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.

At no time will Radio 2GB be held responsible for faults or drop outs in telephony or other IT communication in relation to on-air contesting, whether in the contestants device or connection or Radio 2GB's device or connection. In such an instance, no compensatory prizes or allowance will be made.

Radio 2GB may at any time and in its absolute discretion alter, amend, add to, waive or enforce the General Competition Rules and any Specific Competition Rules with present, future or antecedent effect as it sees fit

All winners may be required by Radio 2GB in its absolute discretion to:

- Participate in promotional activities for the benefit of Radio 2GB.

- That he or she will not, with out prior written consent of Radio 2GB (which maybe with held in its absolute discretion) participate in any other media activities, promotions for the purpose of or which involve discussion, commenting on, expressing a view on the account of the competition.

- In promotional activities the winner will refrain from expressing a negative or disparate view of Radio 2GB or parent company the Macquarie Radio Network and its operations and related bodies.

- The winner acknowledges and agrees that Radio 2GB has the right to all materials generated in connection with the promotion and can use the material in any medium and in any manner it sees fit.

- Radio 2GB will also hold the copyright to any photographs, video footage or written comment taken for publicity purposes and can use these items in any promotional material for the time period of five years.

- Competition winners agree to keep confidential any knowledge of Radio 2GB and its business and personnel received by them as a result of the competition.

Use of false name or address, i.e. name by which the entrant is not usually known will disqualify them from receiving the prize.

Acceptance of the prize is deemed acceptance of the terms and conditions.

All correspondence regarding prizes must be in writing to the Promotions Department at Radio 2GB.

All correspondence will be answered within a three week period.

Notwithstanding any other condition of these specific competition rules, Radio 2GB reserves the right to withdraw the competition at any time and for any reason whatsoever.

The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize(s), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

For Web Entries

1. Participants will be required to their personal details including, but not limited to, name, address, phone number and correct answer. Incomprehensible entries will not be included in the draw.

2. Entries must be received by the disclosed time (AEST/AEDT) on disclosed date. The time of entry will in each case be the time the registered on the website.

3. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the web user or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.

4. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any written direction given under State Regulation.

1. For phone entry: If available as a form of competition entry, 2GB number is 1902 55 88 44. Max call cost is $0.55 (including GST). Higher from mobiles. Service not available from payphones. Participants will be required to their personal details including, but not limited to, name, address, phone number and correct answer. Inaudible and incomprehensible recordings will not be included in the draw.

2. Entries must be received by the disclosed time (AEST/AEDT) on disclosed date. The time of entry will in each case be the time the 1900 telephone call is received by the Legion Interactive/Belong database.

3. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. 2GB FLOWER POWER WIN A TRIP FOR TWO TO KAUAI – TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Promotion. These terms and conditions relate to the 2GB “FLOWER POWER WIN A TRIP TO KAUAI” promotion (“Promotion”). Information on how to enter and the Prizes forms part of these terms and conditions.


2. Promoter. The Promoter is Harbour Radio Pty Ltd of Level 1, Building C, 33-35 Saunders Street, Pyrmont, NSW, 2009 (the “Promoter”).


3. Subject to Terms and Conditions. Any entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions is invalid. By entering into or otherwise participating in the Promotion, you say that you agree to these terms and conditions. Subject to the approval required by any relevant gaming or lotteries authority, the Promoter may at any time and in its absolute discretion alter, amend, add to, waive or enforce these terms and conditions with present, future or antecedent effect as it sees fit.


4. Eligibility. Entry is open to residents of New South Wales only. Employees of the Promoter or its associated companies, employees of any agencies associated with this Promotion and the immediate families of any such employees are not eligible to enter. Entrants must be over 21 years of age and hold a current and valid NSW Driver’s License. To claim the major prize package, entrants must also hold a current and valid passport.


5. Promotional Period. The Promotion commences on Monday October 20 2014 at 00:01 AEDT and concludes on Wednesday November 12 2014 at 12:00pm AEDT (“Promotional Period”). Subject to the approval required by any relevant gaming or lotteries authority, and notwithstanding any other condition of these specific competition rules, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the Promotion at any time and for any reason whatsoever.


6. Entry. From Monday October 20 until Sunday November 9, listeners must make a purchase (no minimum spend) at any Sydney Flower Power Garden Centre store then fill in the entry form provided with their purchase, and put it in the entry box located at any Sydney Flower Power Garden Centre store. Each entry will be eligible to win a daily minor prize and also be in the draw to win the major prize package. Entries close at 5:30pm AEDT sharp on Sunday November 9, 2014.
By agreeing to the opt-in section of the entry form, entrants agree to have their details passed onto Flower Power.


7. Restrictions on Entry. Only one entry is permitted per person, and only one Prize can be won per household. Use of a false name (i.e. the name by which the entrant is not usually known) or address is not permitted. Entrants using false information will be disqualified. The Promoter may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process. Members of the same household or family may enter, but no household or family can win a prize more than once in a 3 week period in a promotion held by the Promoter.


8. Promoter may Disqualify Entrants. The Promoter may verify the validity of entries, including but not limited to whether an entry is in accordance with these terms and conditions, and may disqualify any entrant in its absolute discretion.
9. Receipt of Entries. Entries are deemed to have been received at the time of receipt by the Promoter. The Promoter is not responsible for failure to receive any entry for any cause beyond its control. The Promoter will not be held responsible for any inability or difficulty in entering the Promotion caused by the inaccessibility to the stores.


10. Prizes. The minor prizes are valued at a total of $2000 and consist of 10 $200 Flower Power Gift Vouchers. Flower Power Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and may be used at any Flower Power Garden Centre. The major prize package is valued at $6025 and consists of: i) two return economy airfares from Sydney or Brisbane on Hawaiian Airlines between Sydney and Kauai via Honolulu (airfares include taxes and fuel surcharges per person); ii) six nights accommodation for two people at the Kauai Marriott in a Garden View guest room with balcony; iii) guided tours of Kauai’s McBryde, Allerton and Limahuli Botanical Gardens for two people; and iv) seven days compact car hire.

The prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other prize. Prize values are correct at the time of printing but no responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of any prize. If a prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter will, in its absolute discretion, substitute alternative goods or services of no lesser retail value and/or specification, subject to the approval of the authorities that have issued permits for the conduct of the Promotion. The Promoter accepts no other liability or responsibility for any loss incurred by the winners or any other party if a prize is unavailable for any reason.


i. Airfares. Entire travel must be completed by Tuesday June 30, 2015. The winner’s desired travel dates must be communicated to Hawaii Tourism Oceania representative by Friday December 12, 2014. Dates and seats are subject to availability. Travel is not permitted during the following period: Saturday December 20, 2014 through to, and including, Sunday January 26, 2015 and Saturday March 28, 2015 through to, and including, Sunday April 19, 2015. Travel dates must be booked and ticketed within 30 days of receiving the prize. Travel arrangements will be made by a designated Hawaii Tourism Oceania representative whose decisions regarding the itinerary are final. Hawaii Tourism Oceania accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to prizes in transit. The prize winner and their companion must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together on the same dates/times. No prize substitution or cash equivalent of prize will be awarded for any reason, including for cancellation of trip due to natural calamities or any other force majeure event. Once the trip is confirmed, the departure date cannot be changed or winner will forfeit the prize package. The winner of the prize (and their travel companions) will not accrue any frequent flyer points from taking the prize. The airfares are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-replaceable, non-upgradeable and non-changeable. Further fare rules may apply. Travel insurance is not included in the prize. Winner is responsible for all incidentals, meals, gratuities, transportation throughout the duration of the trip, additional charges and any other expenses not specified here. The major prize winner must hold a current passport to be eligible to win the prize.


ii. Accommodation. Six nights double occupancy accommodation for two people at the Kauai Marriott in a Garden View Guest room, with 1 King bed or 2 Double beds, and balcony. Winner will need to contact a Hawaii Tourism Oceania representative with dates to book the hotel by within two weeks of being contacted. Valid for a consecutive six night stay for two people only. Not redeemable for cash. Accommodation does not include incidental charges, including but not limited to, crib rental, parking, laundry, business centre, food and beverages, surcharges or other services provided to the guest. Accommodation reservation is subject to hotel availability and blackout dates, and travel must be completed by 30 June 2015. Once booked Hawaii Tourism Oceania is not responsible for any costs related to changes in the hotel reservation, cancellation or upgrades.


iii. Guided tours. Hawaii Tourism Oceania will book in the McBryde & Allerton Garden guided tour and Limahuli Garden guided tour and cover the cost of the two guided tours on behalf of the winner.
McBryde & Allerton Garden guided tour: two adult admissions for a guided tour. Tour available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. All tours include a tram ride between check-in point at the Visitors Centre and the Garden.
Limahuli Garden guided tour: two adult admissions for a guided tour. Tour available Tuesdays through Saturdays.
It is the responsibility of the winner to arrive on time for the tour. Hawaii Tourism Oceania does not take responsibility for the tour arrangement after making the final booking. iv. Car Hire. Prize includes seven days compact car hire only for a Nissan Versa Sedan (or similar vehicle). Pick-Up/Return Location Lihue Airport, Lihue HI 96766 US. Winner will need to contact a Hawaii Tourism Oceania representative with dates to book the car hire within two weeks of being contacted. Car hire includes Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): This is not insurance. With CDW the car hire company agrees subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate CDW, to contractually waive your responsibility for all or part of the cost of damage to, loss or theft of, the vehicle.
Prize winners require a valid Australian driver’s license for car hire. In some cases the driver will need to be over 25 years in age and in possession of a major credit card to secure the booking. Additional insurance (outside of the Collision Damage Waiver) is at the cost of the prize winner.
Car hire reservation is subject to availability and blackout dates, and travel must be completed by 30 June 2015. Once booked Hawaii Tourism Oceania is not responsible for any costs related to changes in the car hire reservation, cancellation or upgrades.


11. Judging. Each week day from Monday October 27 to Friday November 7, one entrant will be randomly drawn from each Sydney Flower Power Garden Centre store and sent to Flower Power Head Office. The Flower Power Marketing Department will randomly select one winner from these entrants as the day’s minor prize winner and notify 2GB Promotions Department of this winner. On Monday November 10 between 8.00am AEDT and 6:00pm AEDT, all entries from all Sydney Flower Power Garden Centre stores will be collated by Sydney Flower Power Head Office and sent to 2GB Promotions Department. One winner will be randomly selected for the major prize package by 2GB Promotions Department between 8.00am AEDT and 12.00pm AEDT on Tuesday November 11. All decisions made by the Promoter are final and no correspondence will be entered into.


12. Announcement of Winners. The daily minor prize winners will be announced on The Ray Hadley Morning Show program on 2GB 873 between 9:00am and 12:00pm AEDT each week day from Monday October 27 to Friday November 7. The major prize package winner will be announced on The Ray Hadley Morning Show program on 2GB 873 between 9:00am AEDT and 12:00pm AEDT on Wednesday November 12, 2014 at Harbour Radio Pty Ltd (Radio 2GB). The minor prize winners and the major prize package winner will also be notified by telephone and mail. The winner’s name may also appear on the Website. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity and proof of employment at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter or its agent. Should the Promoter not be able to contact the winner within 5 business days, it may, in its absolute discretion, decide to award the Prize to the next best entrant.


13. Restriction on Liability. The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage, including indirect or consequential loss or damage, or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Prize (including during the course of accepting or using the Prize), except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law. All entrants release the Promoter and its related bodies corporate from, and indemnify the Promoter and its related bodies corporate against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of accepting the Prize or participation in the Promotion, including but not limited to loss of income and personal injury.


14. Warranties. Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee from the Promoter. The winner should look to the supplier of the prizes for all warranties. However, these terms and conditions do not exclude or limit the application of any statutory provision (including a provision of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) where to do so would contravene that statute or cause any part of these terms and conditions to be void.


15. Publicity. Entrants agree to the use of their image and name for publicity regarding the Promotion and acknowledge that it is a condition of taking the Prize that all winners agree to publicity regarding the Promotion, including the use of their names and images without additional compensation. The Promoter may require, in its absolute discretion, any Prize winner not to, without the prior written consent of the Promoter (which may be withheld in its absolute discretion), participate in any other media activities or promotions, the purpose of which, or which involve, discussing, commenting on, or expressing a view in relation to the Promotion.


16. Rights to Entries. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Entrants acknowledge and agree that the Promoter has the right to all materials generated in connection with the Promotion and can use the material in any medium and in any manner it sees fit. By entering the Promotion, entrants assign to the Promoter all copyright to any content forming part of their entry.


17. Privacy. Subject to clause 16 above and these terms and conditions, all personal information will be collected, held, used and disclosed in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy, which can be viewed at www.2gb.com/privacy-policy.


18. Confidential Information. Prize winners agree to keep confidential any knowledge of the Promoter and its business and personnel received by them as a result of the Promotion. In any promotional activities associated with the Promotion or the Prize, the winner must refrain from expressing in public a negative or disparaging view of the Promoter or its operations and related bodies corporate.

DEFINITIONS

 

  1. The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:

 

  1. “Closing Date” means:
    1. for part 1 of the Promotion 09:00hrs on Friday 14 November 2014; or
    2. for part 2 of the Promotion 09:00hrs on Friday 6 February 2015.
  2. “Commencement Date” means 09:00hrs on Monday 20 October 2014.
  3. “Determination Date” means 13:00hrs on Friday 14 November 2014.
  4. “Draw Date” means 10:00hrs on Friday 6 March 2015.
  5. “Eligible Business” means a small business with its registered office in New South Wales with less than 50 employees.
  6. “Entrant” means a person who enters the Promotion.
  7. “Major Prize” means the major prize offered in the Promotion.
  8. “Major Prize Winner” means the Entrant who wins the Major Prize.
  9. “Minor Prize” means a minor prize offered in the Promotion.
  10. “Minor Prize Winner” means an Entrant who wins a Minor Prize.
  11. “Prize” means a prize offered in the Promotion. “Prizes” means all the prizes offered in the Promotion and includes the Major Prize and the Minor Prizes.
  12. “Promoter” means Foxtel Management Pty Ltd ABN 65 068 671 938, of 5 Thomas Holt Drive, North Ryde, NSW, 2113.
  13. “Promotion” means this competition.
  14. “Promotion Period” means the period between the relevant Commencement Date and the relevant Closing Date.
  15. “Publication Date” means:
    1. for part 1 of the Promotion Sunday 16 November 2014;
    2. for part 2 of the Promotion Sunday  8 March 2015.
  16. “Relevant Parties” means the Promoter and the agencies and companies that are associated with the Promoter or the Promotion.
  17.  “Supplier” means the supplier of the Prizes.
  18. “Website” means the 2GB website, located at www.2gb.com.au.
  19. “Winner” means a small business named Entrant who wins a Prize, including in the Unclaimed Prize Draw and including the Major Prize Winner and the Minor Prize Winners.
  20. “Unclaimed Minor Prize Allocation” has the meaning set out in clause 30.
  21. “Unclaimed Minor Prize Allocation” means Thursday 19 February 2015.
  22. “Unclaimed Prize Draw” has the meaning set out in clause 31.
  23. “Unclaimed Prize Draw Date” means Monday 8 June 2015:
  24.  “Unclaimed Publication Date” means:
    1. for part 1 of the Promotion Thursday 26 February 2014; or
    2. for part 2 of the Promotion Monday 15 June 2015.

 

  1. All times and dates are times and dates in Sydney, which may be AEST or AEDT depending on the date. All times are stated using the 24-hour clock. 00:00hrs is the start of a day and 24:00hrs is the end of a day.

 

PARTICIPATION

 

  1. The Promotion is conducted by the Promoter.

 

  1. The Promotion is divided into two parts, part 1 is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the Winners. Winners of part 1 will then be entitled to enter part 2 which is a game of chance to win the Major Prize.  

 

 

  1. Entry to the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. By entering the Promotion, Entrants accept and acknowledge full responsibility for their decision to participate in the Promotion and to take a Prize if they are a Winner.

 

  1. All entry instructions and prize information published by the Promoter form part of these Terms and Conditions.

 

  1. This Promotion will be advertised on the Website.

 

  1. An Entrant is eligible to enter the Promotion if they:

 

 

  1. are a permanent resident of New South Wales;

 

  1. are over the age of 18; and

 

  1. are entering on behalf of an Eligible Business;

 

and are not:

 

  1. employees of:
    1. the Promoter, Optus, or Telstra;
    2. the Supplier;
    3. any corporations or agencies related to the entities in paragraphs (i) and (ii) above; or
    4. any of the Relevant Parties; or
  2. a spouse, de facto spouse, parent, child or sibling (whether natural or by marriage or adoption) of a person who is an employee of any of the entities listed in paragraph (d) above. 

 

  1. Entry to the Promotion commences on the Commencement Date and closes on the Closing Date.

All entrants release the Promoter and its related bodies corporate from, and indemnify the Promoter and its related bodies corporate against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of accepting the Prize or participation in the Promotion, including but not limited to loss of income and personal injury.

14. Warranties. The winner should look to the manufacturer of the Prize for all warranties. However, these terms and conditions do not exclude or limit the application of any statutory provision (including a provision of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) where to do so would contravene that statute or cause any part of these terms and conditions to be void.

15. Publicity. Entrants agree to the use of their image and name for publicity regarding the Promotion and acknowledge that it is a condition of taking the Prize that all winners agree to publicity regarding the Promotion, including the use of their names and images without additional compensation. The Promoter may require, in its absolute discretion, any Prize winner not to, without the prior written consent of the Promoter (which may be withheld in its absolute discretion), participate in any other media activities or promotions, the purpose of which, or which involve, discussing, commenting on, or expressing a view in relation to the Promotion.

16. Rights to Entries. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Entrants acknowledge and agree that the Promoter has the right to all materials generated in connection with the Promotion and can use the material in any medium and in any manner it sees fit. By entering the Promotion, entrants assign to the Promoter all copyright to any content forming part of their entry.

17. Privacy. Subject to clause 17 above and these terms and conditions, all personal information will be collected, held, used and disclosed in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy, which can be viewed at www.2gb.com/privacy-policy.

18. Confidential Information. Prize winners agree to keep confidential any knowledge of the Promoter and its business and personnel received by them as a result of the Promotion. In any promotional activities associated with the Promotion or the Prize, the winner must refrain from expressing in public a negative or disparaging view of the Promoter or its operations and related bodies corporate.
