NSW - the corrupt state?

The NSW Premier's in damage control, warning his ministers they'll be sacked if corruption claims against them are proven.

Five ministers have been dragged into the scandal involving former Labor staffer Joe Scimone, Attorney-General John Hatzistergos and Health Minister Reba Meagher both deny they had anything to do with Scimone’s appointment to a health committee.

Is corruption rife in the NSW government?

Brian,

Does anybody realise how corrupt the Railways actually are? Go to any Gov. run Maintenance depot and observe the lone employee with a fist full of bundy cards at knock off time. Because it is "...his turn to Bundy.
Taxpayers subsidises these bludgers to the tune of approx. $900 mil a year.
The State Labor party are too scared of these industrial thugs to intervene.

Nathan Rees it seems more games you wish to play, yet this infuriates the innovative that complacency remains your sway. For bringing back the balance is what was to be done, yet playing with the water supply continues the fun. So water from the Shoalhaven does not flow, while spilling the dam’s water supply the overall totals do but slow. As for those who spoke out, well it seems Charles Essery has survived the bout. But I am not Essery and this you know, that is why heavy rains will soon flow.

As it was said so was it done, for the Area Health Services have all come undone. Hence is not the hospital system now but broken, for this was the warning that was but spoken. Yet ignoring the warning was but done, yet now Mrs Jillian Skinner says help will soon come. So is it your intension to pursue cooperation, to dissect those complicit within the very administration? Or will this just be another complicit game, which will tighten the funding and leave the complicit basically the same?

last year Star city casino was allowed to renew its exclusivity contract, open more tables , have its local patrons smoke in the endevour room 2 metres from its bar and gaming staff when smoking in all other public venues it is banned. No suprise then that StarCity casino is the largest contributor to the NSW labor parties donation fund for re-election.

Yes. It goes without saying that it is absolutely rotten to the core. Yet the cover ups and the spin doctoring and the rhetoric by their paid so called supporter employees of media ilk and background, goes on and on ad -infinitum. I call for a citizens revolution to bring it to an end and for a thorough overhaul of the system of voting for these bastards; including the formation of their bureaucracies and for citizens initiated referenda to get them out when needed - which is daily.

My grandfather, a very high ranking NSW police officer used as a token honest cop, retired 50 years ago. Not wanting police at his funeral he told of corruption in the force and NSW Government even then. Politicisation of all arms of the public services & other bodies by the NSW Labour Party with unfettered power over many years has led to NSW become moribund & corrupt 10 times worse than Queensland ever was. Their successors face a huge cleanup task & the fullest support of all NSW residents.

I now firmly believe that speeding fines are simply revenue raisers for the RTA. I was travelling throught a school zone last school hols at49kms per hr. It was a pupil free day, the day before school went back. I was fined $136 and lost 4 points. My 2nd only speeding fine in 30 yrs. When I enquired with RTA they told me that students can still be at school on pupil free days!I don,'t get it. Either they are pupil free days or they are not! They can't have both!

nsw would have to be the most stupid government in australia, thier about to sell the lottery thats $300 million a year that people in nsw dont have to pay for.

the federal government should by it instead of selling it to macqaurie bank, that way they can take the lottery nation wide and start selling lotto tickets and scratchies in every state.

with the revenue they can set up a future fund for the abc tv,polictians wages and other government expenses lowering the rate of tax we pay.
