Australia Overnight with Jim Ball… . “....The tragedy I think for many people is that they stumble through their lives, bouncing from one job and career to another never quite sure of what they want to do. That’s never been a problem for me....” Jims very first job in radio was as a 17 year old office boy at 2GB. Then in 1968 he landed his first radio job in Muswellbrook and from then it was on to many stations from Mt Isa to Bundaberg, Colac, Melbourne, Brisbane, Newcastle and Sydney mostly in on air capacities but also in management roles. Taking into account his first job at 2GB as an office boy this reincarnation is Jims’ fourth time through the 2GB turnstiles. “...Perhaps one day I’ll follow my mum and dad’s advice and settle down and get a real job....” Jim is married with two twenty something kids and lives on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, where he enjoys everything it has to offer. A bit of a green thumb he enjoys the garden and the golf course… "Life is good...” |
