THE TRAVEL SHOW

Most of us love the mere thought of travel - even if the pressures of day to day life prevent us from doing as much of it as we might like!

From the autobahns of Germany to the Oodnadatta Track in the Aussie outback, Glenn Wheeler has done plenty of travelling.

"Michelle and I have travelled to many parts of the world over the years. There is so much to see and do and yet so little time to do it! We live by the motto - "Carpe Diem" - seize the day! If you see a great deal, have the desire to travel to that location - and can find the time to do it - then don't put it off…life's too short!"

"We've sat in mud pools in Rotorua, cruised Venice in a gondola, sipped beer from steins in Munich, shopped in Hong Kong & China, star gazed in Hollywood, sipped from coconuts in Fiji, shopped in Hong Kong & China, snorkelled around the Whitsundays, ridden elephants in Thailand, prayed at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, travelled by helicopter to the Gaza Strip, travelled the Great Ocean Road, chilled in Noosa, shopped in Hong Kong & China, marvelled at Australia's amazing outback, sailed around the Mediterranean…and a whole lot more" says Glenn. "Did I mention shopping? My wife is very good at that!"

And with all that travel experience under his belt, Glenn knows exactly what it's like to miss a connecting flight, have your wallet and passport stolen by gypsies, lose your luggage, get ripped off by local touts or arrive at your hotel to find that they are full and don't have your booking anyway!

Each week Glenn will speak with experts on a whole range of travel destinations and related subjects.

The 2GB Travel Show is an interactive travel experience for the listeners - destinations, expert opinions, special deals and reality!

Join Glenn Wheeler for The Travel Show on Monday nights from 7pm.
