There is some rubbish going around.
The first piece is about John Anderson.
The sooner they close down this Cole Inquiry, the better.
Now we are told that John Anderson sold his shares because he had a whiff of the AWB rorts and was briefed that this was going to happen, so dump the shares.
I said last week this was coming.
And it just demeans the whole process.
When people like John Anderson, honest to the point of boredom, are dragged through the mud like this, you have to wonder whether the kind of processes that we apply don't do more damage than they are worth.
The AWB inquiry has now reached the point whereby you mention someone's name and they are automatically corrupt.
Now it's John Anderson.
Well his reputation will stand the test.
But why should it have to contend with this grubby rubbish.
Then there is Ian Thorpe.
So, the South Africans are now saying he's faking his illness.
In other words, Thorpe is frightened of Neithling and Schoeman.
And he's to clash with them in the 100m and 200m freestyle.
Well, I suppose, if we want to hit a bloke below the belt, that's what you say.
I have been in constant contact with Ian Thorpe.
I saw him on Friday, and when he coughed, I thought the roof of his house was going to blow off.
The bloke is sick.
He's not a quitter, he's not fake and he's not frightened of a contest.
Indeed, he's become the greatest freestyle swimmer in history simply because he confronts the contest.
South Africa have a proud sporting reputation.
They diminish themselves by the comments they have made about Ian
