Walt Disney has struck a deal to buy film, television and international businesses from Rupert Murdoch’s 21st Century Fox for $68 billion.

The deal is a move away from making content like Netflix and Amazon and a return to news and sport.

Under the deal, Disney acquires Hollywood studios that produce X-Men, Deadpool,  Avatar and The Simpsons.

Ross Greenwood talks to media economist and analyst Peter Cox as well as CEO of Loftus Peak Alex Pollak about the mega deal.
